Psy to release ‘Gangnam Style’ remix
South Korean rapper Psy will release a remix album of his global hit song “Gangnam Style” on Tuesday (U.S. local time), his Korean management agency said.
The star-studded remix EP (extended play), available digitally on U.S. Republic Records/School Boy Records, has four tracks, YG Entertainment said.
The collection features guest spots by U.S. hip-hop titans 2 Chainz and Tyga on one track and remixing from electronic dance music giants Diplo and Afrojack, the company said, adding that the American musicians added their own flavor to the massive hit.
Psy, whose real name is Park Jae-sang, became a global superstar after the “Gangnam Style” video became the first clip to draw 1 billion hits on YouTube, with the number reaching 1.38 billion as of Tuesday.
The rapper is in Australia to attend the country‘s largest dance music festival, “Future Music Festival.” He is expected to release a follow-up song next month.
